educational area - School enrollment: The Home pre-enrolls the children in the local state school by sending a list of the children by families, to the school in February. We formally enroll them in April, although in some cases this takes longer because the deriving entities or the legal guardian has failed to deliver the necessary documents (i.e. Birth Certificate.) Failure to comply with delivery of these important certificates is deemed reason enough to prohibit periodical family visits to the Home. More...

FAMILY INTEGRATION - The area Family integration is the affective link, and it is the FAMILY who should assume the responsibility of applying adequate family planning, and assuming parenthood in a responsible manner in accordance with the parents' possibilities of satisfying the child's basic needs and providing a home environment which promotes a healthy and integral development as a functional family unit. HEALTH AREA - DENTAL HYGIENE - Most of the children who come to us lack total dental hygiene and treatment. Originally we coordinated with State authorities to carry out dental campaigns. We realized that that was not enough to satisfy the demand so we decided to contract a qualified in-house dentist. This health specialist is also qualified to give first aid assistance and does this efficiently despite the scarce medical equipment. We are currently carrying out a Correct Tooth-brushing Campaign.
